Who we are
Camper Angel is operated by Niels Christian Sorensen, based in Spain. We design and sell open-source motorhome security systems.

What data we collect and why
Order data
When you place an order we collect your name, email address, shipping address, and optionally your WhatsApp number and VAT number. This data is used solely to process and deliver your order and provide installation support.
Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
Payment data
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe’s privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
WiFi credentials
During configuration we ask for your camper’s WiFi network name and password. This is used solely to pre-configure your gateway before shipping. It is never stored on our servers and is deleted immediately after configuration is complete. You are welcome to change your WiFi password after setup.
Technical data
Our web server logs standard access data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and stability purposes. These logs are not used for tracking or profiling and are deleted regularly.
Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies required for the website to function. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies under GDPR.
Who we share your data with
We share your data only where necessary to fulfil your order:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Shipping carriers — delivery of your order
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.
How long we keep your data
Order data is kept for 5 years to comply with Spanish tax law. Support correspondence is kept for 2 years. You may request deletion of data not required for legal compliance at any time.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your personal data. You also have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Data security
Your data is transmitted over HTTPS. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business develops. The current version is always available at camperangel.com/privacy-policy. Significant changes will be communicated by email to existing customers.
